Chris Hoffman is a creative visionary who sits at the intersection of high-fidelity visual craft and emerging technology. He navigates the frontier of digital storytelling, shaping experiences that bridge complex products and services with compelling human narratives.
For the past six years, Chris has served as a Global Group Creative Director at Monks, leading content and production across the Google ecosystem. His work spans Pixel, Maps, Android, Android XR, YouTube, Chrome, Cloud, and Gemini. During this tenure, he has championed the early adoption of generative AI, spearheading groundbreaking milestones such as the production and creative direction of the first-ever advertisement on the Las Vegas Sphere (NFL Sunday Ticket), and brought to life a complex narrative activation for the BTS | Gemini Sphere campaign, along with cutting-edge XR work for Android's XR launch on the Samsung Galaxy headset.
Chris has a long history of shaping high-impact narratives for iconic global brands and organizations, including Nike, Microsoft, Lego, Cisco, Hyundai, and Toyota. A master of crafted brand transformation, he directed the centenary rebrand of MGM Studios, a milestone that involved pioneering some of the industry’s earliest enterprise applications of AI in 2019 to recreate and augment the historic MGM Lion, alongside authoring the brand’s first-ever sonic mnemonic. His background also includes significant contributions to feature film VFX for Netflix, creative directing music videos for artists such as Rihanna and Calvin Harris, developing immersive XR activation experiences for Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Shadows release, and directing stereoscopic 180VR mini-documentaries for YouTube’s spatial content launch (including work for Marlon Brando's nature sanctuary and humpback whales).
His creative journey began with a focus with elite visual studios like Transistor Studios, The Mill, Method, and Imaginary Forces. Before defining his career in the creative industries, Chris raced road bicycles professionally in Italy, and represented the Zimbabwe national cycling team at international events like the World Championships, an experience that instilled in him the discipline and high-performance mindset he now brings to leading global creative teams.
Born in Zimbabwe, Chris has lived and worked internationally, bringing a unique, global perspective to everything he does, from producing conservation documentaries for Marlon Brando’s nature sanctuary, to orchestrating complex, multi-channel campaigns.
